Hapa Grill brings the flavor of Hawaii to SWFL. Although the origin of teriyaki used as a sauce cannot be traced back to Japan, there’s sill plenty of Japanese influence. As Japanese immigrants settled in Hawaii in the 1960s, they brought their culture and traditions with them. Incorporating their cooking techniques and flavors, was just one of the ways the Japanese made their mark on the island. Today, teriyaki sauce is made with a variety of ingredients. Hapa Grill has perfected their recipe in a savory, sweet sauce.
Meet Nobi
Mitsunobu “Nobi” Hasegawa is originally from Osaka, Japan. He studied at Central Connecticut University where he got his degree in Hospitality Management. Locally, he has perfected his culinary skills as a Sushi Chef at Blu Sushi and Origami’s. He brings experience and a very pleasant attitude to make Hapa Grill a unique dining experience.
